Radiographs are a common and valuable initial diagnostic test used daily in general practice.  With so many variations in normal appearances in veterinary patient, radiographic interpretation can be challenging.   Can you really assess the heart size in a bulldog?  Is the vomiting patient surgical?  This course will address these questions and more.

This two-day course will use combine a review of radiographic interpretation principles with interactive case-based image interpretation discuss core concepts in thoracic and abdominal imaging.  Participants will interpret and discuss cases that will focus on common diagnoses and challenges for general practitioners focusing on  systematic review, prioritized differential diagnosis, and next steps.  

Course objectives:

Systematically review radiographic studies
Identify the radiographic signs of common diseases
Generate a prioritized differential diagnosis list based on the radiographic signs
Recommend case management
 

Prerequisites:  A desire to learn, a laptop computer or tablet to review the images during the course.  This is an immersive, interactive round-table experience.  Come ready to learn and explore the world of radiology.
