Expanding upon the topics and procedures covered in Part 1, participants of this one-day workshop will deepen their skills and confidence via didactic and hands-on lessons encompassing:
- Performing an oral exam with charting techniques
- Instrument identification and usage during subgingival and supragingival cleaning
- Technique with ultrasonic cleaning and polishing
- Care and Maintenance of your instruments
- Proper cleaning and maintenance of the dental cart
- Usage of ultrasonic, high speed and low speed handpieces
- Understanding the parts of the dental cart
- Lecture on landmarks of each nerve block location
- Hands-on practice with the placement of nerve blocks
- Dosage and administration of anesthetic agents
During the radiology portion of the day, your instructors will guide you through tips and tricks for obtaining the skills needed to successfully obtain full mouth image series on cats and dogs.
