Dive into dental applications with the intensive, informative, and interactive day-long workshops.   Both Part 1 and Part are designed for both RVTs and DVMs with a desire to learn the latest techniques for cleaning and instrumentation and imaging.  Students benefit from a balanced mixture of didact and hands-on group learning.

In this 8-hour workshop, participants learn through a combined curriculum of didactic and hands-on wet labs using cadavers.  By the end of the day, the range of lessons explored will have included:

  • Performing an oral exam with charting techniques
  • Instrument identification and usage during subgingival and supragingival cleaning
  • Technique with ultrasonic cleaning and polishing
  • Care and maintenance of your instruments
  • Hands-on skills to obtain diagnostic intraoral radiographs on a feline and canine
  • Lecture on intraoral radiography

During the radiology portion of the day, your instructors will guide you through tips and tricks for obtaining the skills needed to successfully obtain full mouth image series on cats and dogs.
