About this two-day interactive seminar:
This two-day course will use interactive case-based image interpretation with short didactic sessions to discuss/review core concepts as needed to optimize the learning experience. The images will be provided so participants can view them on their own before and during the course. Thorax, abdomen, and musculoskeletal imaging will be reviewed with a focus on common diagnoses and questions from general practice.
Course objectives:
- Systematically review radiographic studies
- Identify the radiographic signs of common diseases
- Generate a prioritized differential diagnosis list based on the radiographic signs
- Recommend case management
Prerequisites: A desire to learn, a laptop computer or tablet to review the images during the course. This is an immersive, interactive round-table experience. Come ready to learn and explore the world of radiology.

Meet your instructor:
Dr. Stephanie Nykamp (DVM, Dip ACVR) is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiologists since 2003, following completion of a residency at Cornell University. While on faculty at the Ontario Veterinary College she was involved in training and mentoring DVM students and numerous diagnostic imaging residents as well as residents on other specialties. Dr. Nykamp is currently a teleradiology consultant.
